(Refrain) cañcala muñca paṭāñcala-bhāgam karavāṇy adhunā bhāskara-yāgam (1) na kuru kad-arthanam atra saraṇyām mām avalokya satīm aśaraṇyām (2) na racaya gokula-vīra vilambam vidadhe vidhu-mukha vinati-kadambam (3) rahasi bibhemi vilola-dṛg-antam vīkṣya sanātana-deva bhavantam

(Refrain) Profligate Krishna, let go of the border of My garment. I must go now to perform a sacrifice for the sun-god. (1) Please do not trouble Me here on the path. You see that I am a pious girl without any shelter. (2) O hero of Gokula, please do not delay Me. O moon-faced one, I bow down before You again and again. (3) O eternal Lord, when I see You gazing at Me from the corners of Your roving eyes in this solitary place, I become afraid.
