Lord of Veìkaöäcala ! One whose matchless blue body is ever rendered red by the saffron on the teats of the breasts of Kamalä (i.e. Çrédevé) ! One whose eyes are broad like the petals of the lotus ! O lord of the Universe ! Victory to Thee, the lord of Veìkaöäcala ! Lord of Våñasaila ! May Thou (O Hari !) , with extreme mercy, protect me who always committed various inendurable sins. I do not consider supreme any one other than the Lord of Kamalä (i.e. Çrédevé), who is liberal-minded (and dwells) on Veìkaöacala, who is intent on granting much more than what is desired by the devotees and who is described by the Vedas as the Supreme God. I do not understand any one other than krñëa who is surrounded by innumerable cowherdesses (Gopikäs) enchanted by the sweet music of (His) Flute, who is equal (in beauty) to myraids of Cupids (Manmathas), who gives joy and who is dear to each Gopikä. Source of enchanting virtues ! Räma ! The matchless archer of the Universe ! Thy steady-minded ! The best of the Raghu-race ! Rameça ! The all-pervading ! The ocean of compassion ! O Lord ! grant us boons. I seek refuge of Raghuräma whose hand is desired by Sétä (or that does what Sétä likes), who has a beautiful face like the Moon, who is (like) the Sun (to put an end) to the darkness, i.e. Rävana (the King of Demons) and who is exalted. At no time, and in no way , do I worship any one barring Räma (who has elevated the Raghu race) who has a handsome face, is good hearted, easily attainable, has good brothers, has a beautiful body and whose arrows are unfailing. There is no saviour other than Venkaöeça. I ever pray to (or remember) Veìkaöeça. O Hari, Veìkaöeça ! be pleased grant (us) favours. O Lord ! Having come from afar (with a desire to salute Thy lotus –like feet) I am serving Thee Veìkaöeça ! (please) give me, for this occasional worship , the reward given to the regular (daily) worship. O Hare ! The crest- jewel of Çeñaçaila ! Pardon me for all the sins committed by me, an ignorant.
